A fatal crash occurred Monday afternoon at the intersection of Oxford Road 8 and 16th Line, north of Woodstock, when a commercial motor vehicle collided with a sedan. The sedan’s driver, a 22-year-old Maple resident, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
The other driver was also hospitalized with unspecified injuries. Oxford Road 8 between 15th Line and Oxford Road 5 will remain closed for several hours as authorities investigate the incident.
Update – Four months later, police says a 51-year-old truck driver from Vineland Station has been charged with careless driving.
