Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash on Highway 400, north of Parry Sound, that occurred around noon on Tuesday. The West Parry Sound detachment responded to the scene, where one person was pronounced dead.
As of 6 p.m., the northbound lanes of Highway 400, between Exit 236 (Avro Arrow Road) and the Highway 559 turnoff, remain closed for investigation. No additional details have been released.
Update – The victim of the fatal vehicle accident has been identified as a 65-year-old resident of Edmonton, Alberta.
