A man in his 20s was hospitalized following a single-vehicle collision in Etobicoke on Sunday. The crash occurred around 12:05 p.m. near Dundas Street West and Shorncliffe Road, just west of Kipling Avenue.
Toronto police reported that the driver struck a concrete barrier, becoming trapped inside the vehicle. Fire crews extricated the driver, who was then transported to a trauma centre via emergency run.
The extent of his injuries has not been disclosed. Shorncliffe Road was closed in both directions for several hours as police investigated the scene. The road has since reopened. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to be released.
