A single-vehicle crash involving a side-by-side on Manitoulin Island sent three individuals to hospital Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Murray Hill Road in Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, according to the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service.

Two individuals were transported to Health Sciences North in Sudbury, while the third was taken to Little Current Hospital. Some of the injuries are considered serious.

The cause of the crash is still unknown, and no charges have been laid at this time. The investigation is ongoing with support from the OPP collision reconstruction team.
