A man was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Ottawa’s east end. The collision, involving a car and a water truck, occurred at the intersection of Mitch Owens Road and Boundary Road at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday.

Ottawa Paramedic Service reports that the man in the car sustained critical injuries and was transported in critical condition, while a woman in the car suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ottawa Police Service is investigating the incident. As a result, Boundary Road was closed in both directions between Thunder and Devine roads, and eastbound lanes of Mitch Owens Road were closed between Boundary and Blackcreek roads.
