An 81-year-old Sarnia resident died in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday evening in Point Edward. According to Lambton OPP, the vehicle left Michigan Avenue near Louisa Street around 8 p.m., striking a tree and then a hydro pole. The driver, who was alone in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident closed part of Michigan Avenue for several hours.
