A section of Sheffield Road in North Dumfries Township was closed Saturday after a single-vehicle crash, according to Waterloo Regional Police.
The driver lost control on a water-covered roadway and struck a hydro pole, causing damage. No injuries were reported. The road, closed between Seaton Road and Morrison Road, remained shut as crews worked to repair the pole. There was no estimated time for reopening.
