A pedestrian was struck by a car near the intersection of 1st Avenue West and 11th Street West in Owen Sound on Sunday just after 11 p.m.
Grey County paramedics initially took the victim to Brightshores Health System, and later, they were airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London. The pedestrian is now listed in stable condition with serious injuries.
Shortly after the incident, police located the 41-year-old driver from Owen Sound and charged him with several offenses, including:
- Dangerous operation causing bodily harm
- Failing to stop at an accident resulting in bodily harm
- Failure to comply with a demand (bodily harm)
- Driving without a license
