Police are advising the public to steer clear of a residential area in Mississauga’s east end following a backyard fire Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded around 3:30 p.m. to the area of Queen Frederica Drive and Bloor Street, just west of Dixie Road. Peel Regional Police and Mississauga Fire are on scene in significant numbers.
No injuries have been reported, but authorities are urging drivers and pedestrians to avoid the area while crews manage the situation.
