A crash in Tiny Township early in the morning has resulted in impaired driving charges for a 45-year-old local man. Southern Georgian Bay OPP responded to reports of a black pickup truck that had struck a pole near Champlain Road and Tiny Concession Road 16. Following an investigation, officers determined the driver was impaired.
The man now faces several charges, including impaired operation due to alcohol and drugs, operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, dangerous driving, failing to remain at the scene, and driving with invalid plates.
He was released with a future court date, his driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
