A two-alarm fire in Brampton has left one resident and a firefighter hospitalized. The fire, which occurred late Sunday afternoon, broke out at a home on Hawkridge Trail, near McVean Drive and Ebenezer Road, just north of Queen Street East and close to Claireville Conservation Area.
Brampton Fire and Emergency Services reported the blaze is now under control, with primary searches completed. Crews are still on-site, carrying out overhaul operations. The public is advised to avoid the area. Initially, there was heavy smoke in the vicinity, prompting authorities to urge residents to stay indoors.
