All Toronto-bound lanes on the Queen Elizabeth Way near St. Catharines were blocked for several hours Monday morning following a multi-vehicle collision involving two tractor trailers.
The crash occurred near Welland Avenue and involved a total of five vehicles. Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The highway was fully reopened just after 1 p.m. Police have confirmed that charges have been laid in connection with the incident.
Update – OPP says that a 60-year-old man from New York has been charged.
