A 41-year-old woman died early Tuesday morning after being struck by a train in Greater Sudbury. The collision occurred around 6:50 a.m. on Harry Crescent, near Howey Drive. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Greater Sudbury Police confirmed that foul play is not suspected, and the investigation is being handled in coordination with the Coroner’s Office. The woman’s identity is being withheld at her family’s request.

The area was closed for approximately three and a half hours as officials secured the scene and conducted their investigation. Police thanked residents and drivers for their patience and acknowledged the swift efforts of local paramedics and fire services.
