A fire broke out at a townhome in East York on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred just before 3 p.m. on Broadview Avenue, between Fulton and Nealon avenues.
The flames affected the roof of the building, prompting a significant response from firefighters seen tackling the blaze on a burnt rooftop deck. No injures have been reported.
As a result, road closures are in effect: Nealon Avenue is shut between Broadview and Jackman, while Broadview Avenue is closed between Chester Hill Road and Mortimer. Authorities are advising drivers to take alternate routes.
