A serious two-vehicle collision in Springwater Township has prompted an appeal from the Huronia West OPP for public assistance. The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. last Friday at the intersection of Crossland Road and Flos Road, where officers witnessed one of the vehicles flip into a ditch.
Emergency services, including Springwater Fire and Simcoe County Paramedics, responded quickly. A female passenger sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a Toronto hospital. The male driver of the same vehicle was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre with serious injuries that were not life-threatening.
The occupants of the second vehicle—a driver and a passenger—were transported to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, both with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The road remained closed for several hours as authorities conducted their investigation, which is still ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.
Police are urging anyone with information, including dash cam or video footage, to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
