A fatal collision in Seaforth claimed the life of a 77-year-old pedestrian from Huron East early Friday morning. Huron County OPP reported the incident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on Main Street. Emergency responders found the victim with life-threatening injuries, and despite being rushed to hospital, the individual later died.
The driver involved remained at the scene. As police investigate, several roads in the area — including sections of Main Street, John Street, James Street, William Street West, and Huron Road — have been closed. Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
