A driver in Mississauga was caught on camera driving with a staircase almost entirely covering their vehicle. Peel Regional Police were alerted to the unusual sight around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, after witnesses reported the vehicle traveling along the Queensway.
According to police, the driver had earlier reversed into a building near Dixie Road, striking a staircase that broke off and became attached to the car. Despite the bizarre situation, the driver continued on the road.
A 22-year-old woman from Woodbridge has been charged with careless driving, though further charges may be laid as the investigation continues.
