A crash between an SUV and a motorcycle on Mapleview Drive West in Barrie left one person hospitalized with serious injuries on Sunday morning. The collision occurred in front of the Tim Hortons, just west of Bryne Drive, when the SUV turned into the path of the motorcycle, which was traveling east.
At the scene, a white SUV was visibly damaged, and the motorcycle was found on its side. Multiple police and paramedic units responded to the incident. Mapleview Drive West was closed for several hours between Bryne Drive and Canadian Tire as crews worked, but the road has since reopened.
No charges have been laid yet, and the incident is still under investigation.
