A person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries following a two-alarm fire in East York early this morning.
Fire crews were called to a two-storey home on Iona Ave. at 3:35 a.m., where flames had started in the basement and spread to the main floor. Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control before it could spread further. Crews are still on-site, working to clear the smoke.
There have been no further reports of injuries, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
