A pedestrian tragically lost their life in a train-related incident in Huntsville Thursday night. The collision occurred near the intersection of East Airport Road and Ferguson Road around 10 p.m.
The victim was on the tracks at the time. Following the incident, East Airport Road near Orchard Park and Hunters Bay Trail was closed, and the public was urged to avoid the area.
The OPP have stated that due to the sensitive nature of the investigation, no further details will be released. The road reopened at approximately 3:30 a.m. after several hours.
