Barrie Police responded early Friday morning after a vehicle crashed into a fast-food restaurant at 1 Dunlop Street East around 5:34 a.m. Officers arrived to find the car inside the building but no driver at the scene.
Concerned for the driver’s safety, police set up a perimeter and used a canine unit to search for them, but the search was unsuccessful. The crash caused significant damage to the restaurant, including both glass and structural repairs. The investigation is still ongoing.
