A pedestrian in Mississauga was critically injured after being struck in a multi-vehicle collision near Dixie and Burnhamthorpe roads on Monday around 11 a.m.
Among the vehicles involved was a pickup truck that initially fled the scene but was later found, and the driver was taken into custody shortly before 1 p.m.
The injured pedestrian was rushed to a trauma centre for treatment. It is unclear if the pedestrian was struck by the pickup truck specifically. Police continue to investigate the incident.
