A 23-year-old woman from Tilbury has died following a serious single-vehicle crash in Chatham early Sunday morning.
The collision occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Creek Road near Maynard Line. Police were alerted by the vehicle’s automatic crash notification system and located the car, which had left the road and struck a house.
The woman, who was driving, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital in London, where she later died on Monday. A 24-year-old male passenger was treated for minor injuries at a hospital in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact Const. Joel Rehill or the Traffic Management Office.
