A 41-year-old man is facing several charges after a serious motorcycle crash in Brant County on Monday night.

Emergency crews responded around 9:04 p.m. to the scene at Highway 24 and Colborne Street West, where a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle caused the motorcycle to go airborne approximately 20 feet before landing on the road.

The rider, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to hospital.

Ontario Provincial Police confirmed that alcohol was not a factor. However, the man was prohibited from driving, having been previously warned by police on three separate occasions. He was also operating a stolen motorcycle.

He now faces four counts of operating while prohibited and one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
