Windsor police have arrested a driver in connection with a hit-and-run that left a motorcyclist seriously injured.
The incident occurred early Wednesday on Dougall Avenue at the eastbound off-ramp to the E.C. Row Expressway. Police say a southbound motorcycle was struck by a car turning west onto the expressway. The driver of the car fled the scene.
The 59-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after the collision, officers located the suspect vehicle in a business parking lot in Tecumseh. The driver was arrested and charged with failing to remain at the scene of a collision causing bodily harm.
