A section of Algonquin Boulevard East in Timmins was closed for several hours from Saturday night into Sunday morning as police investigated a motor vehicle collision. The closure, announced by Timmins police just before midnight on October 4, affected the stretch between Cedar Street and Balsam Street.
The area was shut off to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic while the investigation took place. Staff Sgt. Mike Fortin confirmed the road reopened shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday.
At this time, police have not released further details about the crash, including any injuries or potential charges.
