Two people were rescued from the roof of a burning restaurant on the Danforth early Sunday morning. Toronto Fire officials responded to the scene just east of Pape Avenue at around 3:25 a.m. after reports of a fire. Upon arrival, crews found the commercial unit fully engulfed in flames.
The two individuals were found on the roof and safely rescued. Paramedics assessed them at the scene, but neither required hospitalization. The building housed commercial space on the ground floor and two residential units above.
