A 22-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a pickup truck in Burlington on Tuesday afternoon. Halton Regional Police responded to the collision around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of Brant and Fairview streets.
According to police, the pedestrian was on the northwest corner of the intersection when he was hit by an eastbound pickup truck driven by a 59-year-old man. The pedestrian was transported to a trauma centre, while the driver was taken to a local hospital with injuries that have not been specified. The investigation is ongoing.
