Emergency crews responded to a car fire near the Tiffin Boat Launch in Barrie early Friday morning. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames when fire and police arrived around 8 a.m., with witnesses reporting multiple small explosions and intense heat.
The car appears to be completely destroyed. Police confirmed an arrest was made at the scene, but no charges have been laid, and the individual’s identity has not been released. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is ongoing with support from the Ontario Fire Marshal.
