A fatal single-vehicle crash in Clearview Township on Friday evening claimed the life of a 17-year-old driver from Collingwood. Emergency services responded to the scene around 8:45 p.m. on 33-34 Sideroad Nottawasaga.
The teenage driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 17-year-old passenger, also from Collingwood, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The roadway was closed for several hours between Concession 6 North and Fairgrounds Road North for investigation but has since reopened.
Authorities are asking anyone with information or video related to the crash to contact Nottawasaga OPP or Crime Stoppers.
