A woman in Owen Sound is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving impaired and crashing into a police cruiser.

Officers were initially called to check on her well-being on Sunday and, upon speaking with her, suspected impairment. When asked to exit her vehicle, she reportedly started the engine, reversed, and rammed a police cruiser twice—nearly hitting two officers in the process.

She then fled the scene, narrowly avoiding another cruiser. Her vehicle was later found nearby, disabled from damage. Police arrested her and conducted breath tests, which confirmed she was over the legal alcohol limit.

She is now facing a total of ten charges—seven under the Criminal Code and three under the Highway Traffic Act.
