A multi-vehicle crash near Simcoe in Norfolk County left one person dead and three others injured, according to Ontario Provincial Police.

The collision, involving a cement truck, a sedan, and an SUV, occurred around 3:11 p.m. on Wednesday. The SUV driver, a 79-year-old local resident, died at the scene from critical injuries. The other drivers and a passenger from the sedan were transported to hospital with injuries yet to be determined.

Roads in the area, including parts of Concession 13 Townsend and Blueline Road, were temporarily closed but have since reopened.
