A 36-year-old woman from Waterloo was seriously injured after being struck by a BMW in Kitchener early Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 7 a.m. near Ottawa Street South and the Highway 7/8 on-ramp.
She was transported to a hospital outside the region for treatment. Police have not released any details about the driver. The on-ramp was closed for several hours while the investigation took place. Authorities are asking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
