A 49-year-old Atikokan man has been charged with careless driving following a single-vehicle crash involving a fully loaded tractor-trailer on Monday afternoon. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the incident around 2 p.m. on Highway 622, near the Rawn Reservoir.
The driver reportedly lost control of the tractor-trailer, which was hauling a belly-dump gravel trailer, causing it to roll off the highway. The vehicle was deemed a total loss, though the driver suffered only minor injuries. The driver has been issued a provincial offence notice for careless driving.
