A fatal head-on collision in north London on Tuesday morning has left one man dead and another seriously injured.

Emergency crews responded just before 8:25 a.m. to the crash near Fanshawe Park Road West and Pinnacle Parkway. London Fire Services reported that one of the vehicles required extrication.

Both drivers, adult males, were taken to hospital. One sustained serious injuries, while the other suffered life-threatening injuries and later died.

Fanshawe Park Road West was closed between Wonderland Road North and Pinnacle Parkway for several hours as police investigated and the scene was cleared. The road reopened shortly before 3 p.m.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Police have not indicated whether charges will be laid. Investigators are asking anyone with dash cam or security footage from the area between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. to contact the London Police Service Road Safety Section.

Update – The deceased is a physician from London, Ont, identified to be 62-year-old Dr. Agron Alija.

Update 2 – On November 18, London Police Service announced that a man, 43-year-old Andrew Clark of London, has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and with stunt driving related to excessive speed. Clark has been released from custody and is expected to appear in London court on December 22, 2025.
