A fatal two-vehicle collision on Mall Road Friday afternoon left two people dead and two others injured.
Emergency crews responded around 4 p.m. to a crash involving a pickup truck and an SUV between Oxford Road 13 and Middletown Line. Two passengers, aged 77-year-old and 60-year-old, of the SUV were pronounced dead at a local hospital, while a 75-year-old driver was airlifted to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 27-year-old pickup truck driver sustained minor injuries and has since been released from hospital. Police are still investigating, and Mall Road remains closed between Oxford Road 13 and Middletown Line.
Update – On October 25, OPP says that the 75-year old driver has succumbed to their injuries.
