A 27-year-old man faces several charges after allegedly driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a collision in East Windsor early Saturday morning.

Police say around 2:30 a.m., officers saw a speeding pickup truck heading west on Riverside Drive East near Lauzon Road. Moments later, they encountered a two-vehicle crash nearby. Witnesses reported that the same truck hit a taxi, causing another vehicle to veer off the road, before fleeing.

Officers soon found the truck and arrested the driver for failing to remain at the scene. Police noted signs of intoxication, and a breath test confirmed impairment. No injuries were reported.

The man has been charged with impaired driving, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and failing to remain at a collision.
