A 27-year-old Guelph man faces multiple charges after allegedly driving recklessly near children out trick-or-treating on Halloween night.
Police say the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. Friday at London Road and Woolwich Street, where a vehicle involved in a collision reportedly jumped the sidewalk and veered into oncoming traffic. Officers later found the vehicles further north on Woolwich Street.
The driver allegedly refused to provide a breath sample despite repeated requests and was arrested for dangerous driving, impaired driving as a novice, failing to stop at a collision, driving without insurance, and having open alcohol in the vehicle. His licence has been suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle impounded for a week.
