An 81-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Oshawa on Sunday evening.
Durham Regional Police say the collision occurred around 6:30 p.m. at Simcoe Street South and Mill Street, where the pedestrian was hit in a crosswalk by a Chevrolet SUV that had a green light.
The man was taken to a Toronto trauma centre, and police later confirmed his condition had stabilized. The 53-year-old driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Police are asking anyone with information or video footage to contact them or reach out to Crime Stoppers.
