A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash in Scarborough on Wednesday evening.
Toronto police say a pickup truck crashed near Markham Road and Finch Avenue East shortly before 7 p.m. A man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not yet released the ages or identities of the two individuals involved.
Update – A 47-year-old driver has been charged following a collision that killed the 34-year-old woman. Police say the man was heading north in a Ford F350 when he unexpectedly lost control and crashed.
On December 4, investigators reported that Hariharan Navaratnam had been arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle resulting in death.
