A 33-year-old man from Perth is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle crash early Saturday west of Smiths Falls.
Lanark County OPP responded to the scene on Highway 43 near Glenview Road just before 1 a.m., where a westbound pickup truck had veered off the road. The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was taken to a regional trauma centre by paramedics.
OPP collision reconstruction and technical investigation teams are working to determine the cause of the crash. Highway 43 was closed until about 2 p.m. Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact Lanark OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
