A man was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries following a hit-and-run early Saturday in Brampton. Emergency crews responded to Charolais Boulevard and Pearson Road around 2:30 a.m. after reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

When officers arrived, they found the injured man and transported him to a trauma centre. The driver fled the scene, and Peel Police’s 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau has taken over the case.

Investigators are reviewing video footage and speaking with witnesses. Police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
