A man in his 30s is facing multiple charges after his SUV crashed into a Salvation Army store in Toronto early Sunday morning.
Police say they were called around 2:30 a.m. to the area of Overlea Boulevard and Thorncliffe Park Drive, where a dark blue SUV had plowed through the store’s front window, damaging shelves, clothing racks, and appliances.
The driver remained at the scene and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to police, he is now facing several charges under the Highway Traffic Act and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
