Two people were taken to hospital following a serious two-vehicle crash on Highway 403 in Brantford early Wednesday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police said the collision happened around 5:30 a.m. near Garden Avenue, prompting the closure of all eastbound lanes and one westbound lane for several hours.
According to OPP spokesperson Enzo Coletta, both drivers were transported to Hamilton General Hospital — one with life-threatening or life-altering injuries, and the other with non-life-threatening injuries.
The highway reopened around 4 p.m. after the investigation was completed. Police are urging motorists to use caution when travelling through the area.
Update – The drivers are identified as two males, aged 38 and 49, but it remains uncertain which of them sustained life-threatening injuries.
