A man was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton early Thursday morning. The collision occurred around 1:35 a.m. at Dixie Road and Clark Boulevard.
Police believe the pedestrian was attempting to cross the road when he was hit. Emergency crews transported him to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Dixie Road is closed between Lisa Street and Clark Boulevard for the ongoing investigation, and motorists are advised to take alternate routes. Peel police continue to examine the cause of the crash.
