A Brampton man is facing multiple charges after what Peel police describe as a hate-motivated road rage incident that turned into a hit-and-run.
According to investigators, the confrontation began around 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 and continued to a nearby residence, where the suspect allegedly yelled obscenities and racially charged remarks before hitting the victim with his vehicle and dragging him roughly five metres. The driver then fled.
The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police have arrested 22-year-old Nicolai Tindris, who is charged with dangerous driving, aggravated assault, failing to remain after a collision causing bodily harm, and obstructing a peace officer.
Police are asking anyone with further information to contact investigators.
