Ontario Provincial Police have charged a driver following a collision north of Kingston Monday night. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Perth Road, just beyond Perth Road Village, roughly 23 kilometres north of the city.
Police say a 23-year-old man lost control of his vehicle, hitting a road sign and a hydro pole guy wire. The crash caused considerable damage to the vehicle, and the driver sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment.
He has been charged with careless driving. Hydro One crews were called in to help remove the damaged vehicle and repair the affected equipment.
