Brantford Police are seeking help to identify a person suspected of setting a house fire on Darling Street near Drummond Street early Monday morning. Three youths managed to get out safely after the blaze began around 4 a.m.
Investigators determined the fire started in the basement and consider it suspicious. Images from nearby security cameras show the suspect, described as a white individual with dark, shoulder-length hair and glasses. They were wearing a black jacket with a fur-trimmed hood, checkered pajama pants, a winter hat, and dark footwear.

Update – On November 22, a homeowner on Erie Street reported that someone had tried to ignite a backyard firepit. Officers responded and arrested a 33-year-old Brantford woman at the scene.
She is now facing charges that include arson endangering life, arson causing property damage, and break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence. Investigators also believe she is connected to the Darling Street house fire.
