A 70-year-old construction worker is in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle Monday evening in Kincardine.
Police and paramedics responded around 5:20 p.m. near Highway 21 and Underwood Road, where the worker was struck by a passenger vehicle. He was initially taken to a local hospital before being airlifted by Ornge to a trauma centre in London.
Highway 21 was closed between Concession 6 and Concession 8 until just before midnight while emergency crews managed the scene.
