A winter storm caused major disruptions on Highway 401 in Clarington Friday morning when a tractor-trailer jack-knifed, closing all eastbound lanes near Highway 418, east of Oshawa, for over three hours.
Police advised drivers to seek alternate routes during the closure, which lasted through the early morning rush. Emergency crews reopened the highway just before 9 a.m., and no injuries were reported.
